If I Had The Time

I saw you yesterday
as you were passing by.
I felt the look of need
as I caught you with my eyes.
But as the world turns,
and the rush of life goes by,
I'd love to say I love you
if I had the time -

And if I had the time
I could see much more with you.
And if I had the time
there aint' no end to what we'd do.
I'd spend the day in your arms
so glad that you are mine,
I'd never want to let us go
if I could find the time -

If promises were rainbows
I'd be your pot of gold.
To find each night when you get home
and need someone to hold.
But as this world turns,
and the rush of life flows by
I'd love to say I love you
if I had the time -.-

Dancing Over the Edge

Time after time you've played the fool
Dancing too close to the edge,
Treating young hearts as if a game
Of chance you cannot hedge,
So when the time for love comes round
And commitment lies on the ledge,
You'll miss the mark - miss out on love
The fool dancing over the edge --

And you're dancing to the music
That no one hears but you,
Glancing through the cages
Of reflections back in view,
Seeing through the pages
Of your life - or so alleged,
As you miss the mark, miss out on love
The fool dancing over the edge --

Now humpty dumpty sat up on his wall
As the soldiers came into view,
He dared them all to knock him down
But something’s he didn't think through,
Like how could a heart that was broken be true
To the one who had thrown it away,
And how could the shell of a man stand firm,
When the love he couldn't keep ran away,

So he's dancing about on the top of his wall
Tempting the soldiers to make him fall,
But the soldiers stay back - stay away from the ledge
As the love dancing fool
Dances over the edge --

He's the fool that is dancing in each one of us,
At our lives and our jobs we dare not to trust,
For in time even love can too slip away,
And what we are left with is- a great debt to pay,
But the fool has found out that its fun on the ledge,
He has found the excitement that many leave in dread,

And you're dancing to the music
That no one hears but you,
Glancing through the cages
Of reflections back in view,
Seeing through the pages
Of your life - or so alleged,
As you miss the mark, miss out on love
The fool dancing over the edge --

Almost Over You

I've found you in my memories
When I'm asleep at night,
That smile is on your face
You know the one, it looks so right,
You're warm & close to me
And I can feel you in the air,
As my mind runs on the memories
When you were there -

My life keeps moving on
And I keep workin' with each day,
I don't know what went wrong
Somehow we both drifted away,
From love that was a moment
It was all that we could do,
But life has turned us over,
And I'm almost over you -

Was it the day you turned away
That made me want you more,
Or was it my love that went astray
That made us close the door,
If I could get you off my mind
When you creep in like you do,
Because life has turned us over
And I'm almost - over you -.-

And I've found you in my memories
When I'm asleep at night,
The smile still on your face
You know the one, it looks so right,
From that love that was a moment
It was all that we could do,
But life has turned us over,
And I'm almost over you -

Yes life it turned us over,
And I'm almost .. over you -

Love Has Gone

All day long, I've tried to write a song
to say the way I feel,
to somehow make it sound for real
without the need of breaking hearts.
And sometimes it seems that I can find the words to put together
to somehow make it sound a little better
to the ear
but then
I break down and cry
I remember, and my heart it dies
the pain comes rushing in
I try to start again but then
my eyes, they fill with tears
and I remember all those happy years
when you and I were one
and we both could tuch the sun with love
but now it all is gone
I wonder why it went away
I wonder why it didn't stay around
for just a while,
it used to make me smile...
and I see it, every now and then
it's like.. a long lost friend
you haven't seen in quite a while
oh I wonder where the love's gone in my world,
I wonder why the love has gone
in my world...?

Loss of a Student

On Tuesday, December 8th, 2009, our school suffered a great loss as one of our students died in a car accident at the intersection crossing highway 12. I was there, it was not good, and I appreciate all the effort and work that went into trying to save this young man by the local fire department and law enforcement. I would also like to thank the staff at Riffe Medical Clinic for all of there support. Our community is small but we are close and I'm certain that we will carry on, become stronger and not forget our fallen student. Please pray for the families and our students here in Mossyrock. Thank you.

December is here already...

2009 has come and gone in a flash, or at least that's how it seems. Just two weeks ago we remembering how snowy and wet January was, the summer with our family reunion and then it's Thanksgiving and now Christmas is upon us. What's going on? Busy? Are we a little busy? Yes we are, with work, kids, jobs, selling a house finally and beginning to save up money to purchase a new house in the future. Renting and maintaining the current place is also fun. The boys love being near the woods, the elk, deer and bobcat make for exciting views from the deck early in the morning. Seeing Mount Rainier is also a joy and it brings me back to some great memories of growing up on a small farm, seeing the Cascade mountians and Mount Rainier from our breakfast area in the kitchen. Life may be passing quickly by - but it's all good. :-)
