Loss of a Student

On Tuesday, December 8th, 2009, our school suffered a great loss as one of our students died in a car accident at the intersection crossing highway 12. I was there, it was not good, and I appreciate all the effort and work that went into trying to save this young man by the local fire department and law enforcement. I would also like to thank the staff at Riffe Medical Clinic for all of there support. Our community is small but we are close and I'm certain that we will carry on, become stronger and not forget our fallen student. Please pray for the families and our students here in Mossyrock. December is here already...

2009 has come and gone in a flash, or at least that's how it seems. Just two weeks ago we remembering how snowy and wet January was, the summer with our family reunion and then it's Thanksgiving and now Christmas is upon us. What's going on? Busy? Are we a little busy? Yes we are, with work, kids, jobs, selling a house finally and beginning to save up money to purchase a new house in the future. Renting and maintaining the current place is also fun. The boys love being near the woods, the elk, deer and bobcat make for exciting views from the deck early in the morning. Seeing Mount Rainier is also a joy and it brings me back to some great memories of growing up on a small farm, seeing the Cascade mountians and Mount Rainier from our breakfast area in the kitchen. Life may be passing quickly by - but it's all good. :-)
